Mini Bar Attendant

About the role

Nyungwe Tea Forest Resort, set within a working tea plantation in Rwanda, is looking for a highly organized and customer-focused Mini Bar Attendant. The role covers restocking and maintaining mini bars in hotel rooms, keeping items accurate and up to the resort's high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Restock mini bars with beverages and snacks, check contents against inventory lists and replenish stock while recording consumption
• Keep items properly chilled and stored, and monitor inventory levels, reporting discrepancies, slow-moving or expired items and taking part in inventory counts and audits
• Work with the purchasing team to optimise inventory levels
• Answer guest questions about mini bars, handle complaints courteously and suggest items to guests
• Keep mini bar areas clean and tidy, and clean and sanitize equipment and storage areas
• Collaborate with housekeeping on room preparation and communicate with other departments; take part in departmental meetings

Required profile

• Previous hospitality or related experience (minimum 1-2 years)
• Experience with inventory management or stock control is a plus
• Ability to lift and carry heavy trays or stock, stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
