About the role
The Regional Recruitment Specialist will lead the end‑to‑end talent acquisition process for the East Africa, Madagascar, and Western Indian Ocean (EAMWIO) region. Working closely with the Regional HR Business Partner, Country HR Managers and hiring leaders, you will ensure a seamless candidate experience and support the region’s workforce priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and continuously improve regional recruitment plans aligned with workforce priorities.
- Review and refine job descriptions to meet WCS standards and accurately reflect role responsibilities.
- Manage job postings across multiple platforms and maintain a robust candidate pipeline.
- Coordinate screening, selection, offer preparation and onboarding for new hires.
- Utilise the applicant tracking system to track candidates, generate reports and enhance the hiring process.
- Support virtual and in‑person career events and promote diversity‑focused sourcing strategies.
Required profile
- Proven experience in full‑cycle recruitment, preferably in a regional or multi‑country context.
- Strong understanding of HR best practices, talent acquisition metrics and diversity recruitment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across cultures.
- Commitment to delivering an outstanding candidate and hiring manager experience.
- Experience in the non‑profit or conservation sector is a plus.
