Quality Officer

About the role

The Quality Officer supports the Quality Manager and works closely with the Farming Operations Manager to implement and maintain the company's Quality Management System across all farming sites. This role ensures compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, certification schemes, and regulatory obligations while promoting a culture of quality throughout the operation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the rollout of quality standards and monitor compliance at each farming location.
• Analyse quality data, prepare regular performance reports and highlight non‑conformities, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain and update quality records, procedures and documentation in line with certification requirements.
• Lead corrective and preventive action processes following audits, inspections or identified gaps.
• Support training of operational teams on quality, biosecurity and best‑practice procedures.
• Liaise with external auditors, certification bodies, suppliers and other stakeholders on quality matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Food Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in quality management, preferably within poultry, livestock, agriculture or food production.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a valid driving licence.

Required skills

• Knowledge of quality systems and certification standards such as GlobalG.A.P., HACCP and ISO 22000.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience preparing audit reports and managing corrective actions.
