Project Facilitator – UNHCR ProFuturo

About the role

The Project Facilitator will lead the planning, implementation and monitoring of the UNHCR‑ProFuturo education project in selected districts and refugee‑camp schools in Rwanda. Working closely with head teachers, education authorities and the World Vision team, you will ensure that ICT equipment and digital learning platforms are effectively deployed and used to improve learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute project plans aligned with the Education Sector Strategic Plan (ESSP) and Competency Based Curriculum (CBC).
• Coordinate with head teachers and school staff to install, test and maintain ICT equipment and ensure reliable internet connectivity.
• Facilitate teacher registration on the digital platform, set up classes and upload content.
• Conduct on‑site testing of devices and connectivity with teachers and students.
• Provide continuous coaching, mentorship and technical training to head teachers and teachers on platform use, ICT tools and methodology.
• Organise face‑to‑face problem‑solving sessions and deliver additional training on specific functionalities.
• Monitor equipment performance, safety and utilization throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating education‑related projects, preferably in humanitarian or refugee contexts.
• Strong familiarity with ICT tools for education and the ability to train non‑technical staff.
• Excellent communication skills for working with teachers, school leaders and sector partners.
• Willingness to travel to remote schools and refugee camps for on‑site support.
