Consultant – Training Tools for RISE Inclusion SOP

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a consultant to design and develop practical training tools that will enable implementers to operationalise the RISE Inclusion Standard Operating Procedures across Rwanda. The assignment lasts 3.5 months and combines remote work with office‑based activities and travel to Kigali.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the RISE Inclusion SOP into user‑friendly training modules and materials for diverse stakeholder groups.
• Develop curricula, facilitator guides, and e‑learning assets that address gender equality, disability, refugee inclusion and youth participation.
• Conduct needs assessments and adapt content to local contexts, ensuring accessibility and compliance with safeguarding and PSEA frameworks.
• Support capacity‑building workshops and provide technical assistance to implementers throughout the learner journey.
• Collaborate with UNICEF staff and local partners to validate tools and incorporate feedback.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Development Studies, Gender Studies, Education or a related field.
• 7‑10 years of professional experience in training design, curriculum development, facilitation or capacity strengthening.
• Proven experience in gender‑transformative and inclusion programming, especially for children, young women and persons with disabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work in Rwanda or similar contexts and to engage multi‑stakeholder audiences.
