Procurement Specialist – Open‑Ended Contract

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join the procurement team at WASAC Group Ltd’s headquarters. The role is an open‑ended contract reporting to the Procurement Manager and involves managing the full procurement cycle for donor‑funded projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue procurement plans, RFQs, RFPs, tender documents and bid invitations.
• Conduct tendering processes in compliance with donor regulations, procurement laws and guidelines.
• Manage supplier relationships, including communication, performance evaluation and issue resolution.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, improve procurement practices and report on performance metrics.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and annual procurement reports for management.
• Monitor delivery and quality of services, applying penalties where applicable.
• Maintain accurate, auditable records of all procurement activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Law or Economics (or a Bachelor’s degree with at least three years’ experience).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Procurement Specialist, officer or manager on donor‑funded projects.
• Professional procurement qualifications such as CIPS, CIPP or CIAPP are an advantage.
• Proven ability to conduct market research, evaluate suppliers and ensure regulatory compliance.
