Finance Director – Holding Company

About the role

The Finance Director leads the financial strategy, management and governance of AQAC HoldCo, ensuring sustainability, regulatory compliance and supporting the CEO and Board in achieving long‑term growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate goals and drive capital allocation for new projects, expansions and acquisitions.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling and ensure timely, accurate reporting in accordance with IFRS/GAAP and local standards across all subsidiaries.
• Manage compliance with tax, audit and regulatory requirements in every jurisdiction, including Afreximbank governance standards.
• Maintain internal controls, risk‑management frameworks and supervise internal and external audits, addressing findings promptly.
• Optimize working capital, cash flow and cost structures through ERP and LIMS integration, shared services and centralized procurement.
• Build relationships with banks, investors, regulators and support subsidiary CFOs in applying group finance policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience as Finance Director, CFO or senior finance executive in a multinational or holding company.
• Minimum 12 years in senior finance leadership, with strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, tax regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA or CA are highly desirable.
