Procurement Executive (Technical - Oil & Gas)

About the role

Salvo Grima Group works with manufacturers and global suppliers to deliver industrial equipment, spare parts, consumables and technical products for upstream, midstream and downstream operations. The Procurement Executive manages procurement and supply chain activities for oil and gas clients, sourcing, purchasing and delivering materials and equipment, and coordinates freight and logistics from Malta to Libya.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment and spare parts according to customer requirements.
• Obtain quotations, evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing and issue purchase orders.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and manufacturers.
• Monitor purchase orders and expedite deliveries to meet project deadlines.
• Coordinate freight shipments from Malta to Libya, liaising with freight forwarders, shipping agents and customs brokers.
• Prepare and review shipping and export documentation for import and export compliance.
• Work with warehouse, logistics, finance and operations teams, track shipments and update customers on order status.
• Resolve procurement, logistics and supplier issues promptly, keep accurate records and prepare regular reports.
• Identify ways to improve procurement efficiency and reduce supply chain costs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in procurement and supply chain management, business administration, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in procurement, supply chain or logistics, preferably in the oil and gas or industrial sector.
• Knowledge of international procurement, freight forwarding and import/export procedures.
• Experience coordinating international shipments, ideally between Europe and North Africa.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Business Central ERP systems.
• Strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, with excellent attention to detail.
