Procurement & Supply Chain Coordinator

About the role

Rising Academies is seeking a proactive, detail‑oriented Procurement & Supply Chain Coordinator to join its Rwanda team. The role ensures smooth procurement, distribution, and lifecycle management of tablets, headsets, cabinets and related accessories for the AI‑Powered Tablet Pilot and other programs.

Key responsibilities

• Procure tablets, headsets, cabinets and accessories according to program needs.
• Manage customs clearance, warehousing and distribution to schools.
• Establish repair, replacement, headset hygiene and waste‑management systems.
• Provide regular updates to suppliers, government partners and Rising leadership.
• Track procurement timelines, stock levels, repair turnaround and asset durability.
• Train warehouse and school staff on storage, charging and distribution protocols.
• Collect and analyse durability data, feeding insights back into procurement planning.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics or related fields (education sector a plus).
• Strong organisational, communication and reporting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and build capacity for non‑technical audiences.
• Passion for improving education delivery across Africa.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel.
• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Experience using supply chain management systems.
• Familiarity with inventory tools and Slack.
