Local finance intern

About the role
We are looking for a motivated local finance intern to support our finance team in Rwanda. The role offers hands‑on experience in tax, banking, accounts receivable and financial reporting, providing a solid foundation for a future career in finance.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Handle tax filing, invoicing, tax refunds and support tax planning initiatives.
- Manage banking processes, including fund transfers and relationship maintenance.
- Liaise with auditors to support effective financial oversight and governance.
- Oversee accounts receivable, conduct collections and reconcile customer accounts.
- Supervise terminal sales financial processes such as inventory, invoicing, cash‑flow monitoring and account reconciliation.
- Ensure financial records are accurate, up‑to‑date and properly documented.
Required profile
- On‑campus student graduating within one year, majoring in finance‑related fields.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities to work across multiple departments.
- Familiarity with Rwandan accounting standards, tax regulations and cross‑border cash management.
- Goal‑oriented with high stress tolerance and ability to meet deadlines.
- Outstanding performers may be offered a full‑time position after graduation.
