Field Coordinator – Community Development (3 positions)

About the role

The Rwanda Women Network is hiring three Field Coordinators to support women‑led civil society organisations across multiple districts. The role involves day‑to‑day coordination, monitoring and technical assistance to ensure project activities meet quality standards and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular field monitoring visits to three partner CSOs, providing technical support, mentoring and safeguarding guidance.
• Facilitate coordination between CSOs, district and sector authorities, and represent RWN at district‑level meetings.
• Support community mobilisation, capacity‑building activities, and participatory processes such as dialogue circles and feedback sessions.
• Prepare timely field visit reports, activity updates and documentation of lessons learned for the Project Coordinator and MEAL Officer.
• Ensure compliance with RWN policies, Sida donor requirements and safeguarding principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, gender studies, development studies or a related field.
• At least 3 years of field‑level experience in community development, civil society support, gender or governance programmes.
• Demonstrated experience working with CSOs, community structures and local government authorities.
• Strong understanding of gender equality and women’s empowerment in the Rwandan context.
• Ability to travel frequently within assigned districts and work independently.

Required skills

• Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills for community mobilisation.
• Good written and verbal reporting skills in English and Kinyarwanda (French a plus).
