About the role
The Entrepreneurship, Savings & Business Development Volunteer will support I Will Stand International’s Women Empowerment Program in Kigali, Rwanda. Working three days a week, you will help vulnerable women move from training to sustainable income generation through entrepreneurship, financial literacy and business mentorship.
Key responsibilities
- Facilitate entrepreneurship and small‑business development training sessions for participants.
- Guide women in identifying viable business ideas based on local market demand.
- Deliver financial literacy workshops covering budgeting, savings habits and responsible borrowing.
- Strengthen and support the program’s savings‑group system, including internal lending and repayment processes.
- Provide one‑on‑one business mentorship and assist participants in developing market‑oriented business plans.
- Collaborate with the Program Coordinator and Mentorship Lead to monitor progress and adjust training content.
Required profile
- Passion for women’s empowerment, community development and entrepreneurship.
- Experience working with vulnerable populations or in a nonprofit setting.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
