Project Manager – ALU Academics

About the role

The Project Manager will play a crucial role in driving key initiatives within ALU Rwanda, ALCHE Mauritius and ALUSB. This role is responsible for identifying, planning, executing, and monitoring projects that support the strategic objectives of these departments.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with department heads to identify and define projects aligned with strategic priorities.
• Conduct needs assessments and feasibility studies to establish scope, objectives, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project proposals, plans, timelines, budgets, and risk management strategies.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Track progress, produce status reports, and communicate updates to senior leadership.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, facilitate decision‑making, and ensure adherence to safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Education or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience, preferably in an educational setting.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and stakeholder expectations.
• Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
• Strong risk, budget, and timeline management capabilities.
