Assistant Investment Manager (Bilingual)

About the role

As an Assistant Investment Manager you will support FEDA’s investment team throughout the full investment lifecycle across all fund strategies. The role combines rigorous financial analysis, deal execution, and portfolio monitoring while collaborating with cross‑functional teams on innovative greenfield projects in Africa.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in deal origination, evaluation, and presentation to investment committees and boards.
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, modeling, and valuation of prospective investments.
• Prepare term sheets, investment memos, and support negotiation processes.
• Coordinate and lead due‑diligence activities, including interaction with target management and advisors.
• Support the development and monitoring of value‑creation and ESG action plans for portfolio companies.
• Monitor portfolio performance, track KPIs, and produce regular investment reports for senior management and investors.
• Contribute to fundraising initiatives by creating marketing materials and participating in investor meetings.

Required profile

• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to dissect complex financial data.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Experience in research, due‑diligence, and risk assessment.
• Understanding of private equity and greenfield investments, particularly in Africa.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and a second language.
