Postpartum Hemorrhage Country Consultant – Rwanda

About the role

US Pharmacopeia (USP) is looking for a Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) Country Consultant to lead the implementation of maternal health medicines activities under the MedSuRe project in Rwanda. The consultant will act as the primary link between USP headquarters and national stakeholders, ensuring alignment with technical approaches and cross‑country harmonisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and implement country‑level PPH activities in coordination with Regional Technical Managers and HQ staff.
• Develop and monitor annual implementation plans and internal progress‑tracking tools.
• Serve as the in‑country focal point for PPH, coordinating daily engagement with ministries of health, procurement agencies and supply‑chain partners.
• Lead or facilitate national meetings, technical workshops, trainings and stakeholder consultations.
• Develop, adapt and revise technical documents, guidance materials, surveys and other work products.
• Prepare timely progress updates, contribute to donor reporting and document lessons learned.
• Identify and facilitate resolution of operational and technical risks affecting project delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading health‑related projects at the country level.
• Familiarity with maternal health medicines and supply‑chain environments.
• Ability to work closely with ministries of health, procurement agencies and international partners.
