Global R&D Data Analyst – Fixed-Term

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a Global R&D Data Analyst on a fixed‑term basis to support decision‑making across its agricultural programs. The analyst will work with diverse data sources—including sales, yield, demographic and satellite data—to help the organization reach more smallholder farmers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and analyse R&D trials and surveys, including sample size and power calculations, stratification and experimental design.
• Recommend and apply appropriate statistical methods such as hypothesis testing, regression, ANOVA and mixed models.
• Lead the analysis of agronomic and socioeconomic data, providing insights for repayment, expansion and other strategic decisions.
• Collaborate with country R&D teams to ensure high‑quality trial execution and support data warehousing for external research partners.
• Translate analytical results into actionable recommendations for program leaders.

Required profile

• Strong communicator with a solid analytical background.
• Experience in experimental design and causal inference.
• Comfortable interpreting ambiguous results from imperfect data and advising on risk.
• Ability to operate as a methodological expert, applied data scientist and project manager.
