VP of Academic Governance & Student Services

About the role

The Vice President of Academic Governance & Student Services will lead the development and institutionalisation of ALU’s academic quality framework and student services excellence. Reporting to senior leadership, this executive will shape standards, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive global accreditation efforts across the university.

Key responsibilities

• Define and embed academic governance standards, frameworks and policies aligned with global best practices.
• Oversee Quality Assurance, the Registrar’s Office and all student services functions to ensure seamless integration across the student lifecycle.
• Establish quality benchmarks, performance indicators and continuous improvement mechanisms for all academic programmes.
• Design and implement measures of institutional success, including academic outcomes and student success metrics.
• Build systems to track, analyse and report quality and performance data for strategic decision‑making.
• Lead institutional reviews, program reviews and audits, and manage compliance with regulatory bodies in multiple jurisdictions.
• Drive ALU’s journey toward global accreditation and international recognition.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in higher‑education governance, quality assurance or academic administration.
• Strong track record of developing and implementing institutional frameworks and performance measurement systems.
• Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and accreditation processes across different jurisdictions.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into operational excellence.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
