Test Lead - Software QA (Logistics Tech Platform)

About the role

Africa Global Logistics Rwanda Limited, based in Kigali, Rwanda, is recruiting a permanent Test Lead for its IT department, which sits within the Freight Forwarding & Transit division. The role joins the Connect Logistics team, a data orchestration platform put into production in March 2025 that collects, cleans and consolidates data from operational systems (TMS) and delivers it to clients via a web portal. The project is now expanding its functional scope and becoming central to the Transit & Freight Forwarding ecosystem. Under the Solution Manager, you will validate the functional and technical processing chain and coordinate testing across the delivery lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze user stories and functional specifications and turn them into test requirements.
• Maintain the test base (Azure Test Plans): requirements, test cases, test datasets and test campaigns.
• Coordinate functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing, and UAT with business teams.
• Contribute to Go/No-Go decisions before production releases and ensure testing follows milestones and quality standards.
• Execute functional, integration, regression and confirmation testing, and run documented automated tests.
• Develop and maintain automated test scenarios with tools such as Postman, and improve test automation coverage.
• Record, qualify and track defects in Azure DevOps, ensure traceability to requirements and test cases, and validate fixes.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent.
• Proven software testing or application validation experience in Agile environments.
• Experience with test management tools and coordinating testing campaigns.
• Fluent French and English, written and spoken.
• Location: Kigali, Rwanda, with regular international travel.

Required skills

• Azure Test Plans or equivalent test management tools.
• Azure DevOps and strong SQL for data validation.
• Integration architectures: Enterprise Service Bus, APIs, messaging systems and EDI; Azure Service Bus is an advantage.
• Postman for test automation; Newman or similar frameworks are an asset.
• Good understanding of JSON, XML and data mapping.
• Documentation and collaboration tools such as Confluence and SharePoint.
