Product Owner - IT Integration Platform (Logistics Tech)

About the role

Africa Global Logistics Rwanda Limited, a Rwandan transport and logistics company based in Kigali, is recruiting a permanent Product Owner for its IT Department, attached to the Freight Forwarding & Transit division. The role supports Connect Logistics, an integration platform that collects, cleans and consolidates data from operational systems (TMS) and delivers it to clients via a web portal. The project has entered a new phase: expanding its functional scope and becoming a central hub for data exchanges between logistics applications. Reporting to the Solution Manager, you will manage the delivery of new integrations and product enhancements on the Azure Integration Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and challenge new business requirements and integration initiatives, and run scoping workshops to define functional requirements
• Define and maintain data exchange mappings and keep product evolutions aligned with platform standards and the roadmap
• Maintain and prioritise the product backlog in Azure DevOps, prepare functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies, coordinate testing and defect resolution, and act as main contact for technical teams
• Manage delivery of integration projects, produce status reports, monitor risks and dependencies, and support governance decisions
• Monitor solution performance with the RUN teams, ensure functional documentation is produced and oversee deployment to production

Required profile

• Master's degree (engineering school, computer science, information systems or equivalent)
• Proven experience as Product Owner, Business Analyst or Application Manager (Build/Run), preferably in integration platforms, middleware or enterprise application environments
• Knowledge of logistics and/or international transportation, preferably freight forwarding, is a plus
• Experience in Agile environments and coordinating multidisciplinary teams in an international context

Required skills

• Functional analysis and specification, including user stories, acceptance criteria and test scenarios
• Integration architectures: Enterprise Service Bus, APIs, EDI, messaging systems and orchestration platforms
• Microsoft Azure integration services (Service Bus, API Management, Azure DevOps) and data formats (JSON, XML, data mapping, message transformation)
• Agile methods (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Confluence, SharePoint and Microsoft Project
• Ability to read technical logs and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
