Technical Assistance Success Specialist (Fixed‑term)

About the role

The Technical Assistance Success Specialist ensures that Technical Assistance (TA) support is aligned with the needs of investee farmers, with a particular focus on youth and young women. The role involves data collection, designing impactful initiatives, conducting TA needs assessments, and providing feedback to shape TA strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Support the TA manager in refining assessments, prioritising support, and synthesising findings to guide phased TA delivery.
• Track implementation of agreed TA plans, maintain progress trackers, follow up with investees, and flag delays or challenges.
• Act as the primary implementation partner for TA projects, working onsite or remotely with portfolio companies to align expectations and guide activities.
• Scope initiatives addressing barriers faced by youth and young women farmers through questionnaires, surveys, and field visits.
• Build internal capacity of investee staff via demonstrations, coaching, and one‑on‑one sessions, ensuring hand‑over and ownership.
• Gather real‑time feedback from investee teams and farmers, document progress and outcomes, and share insights with the TA manager.
• Coordinate with external implementation partners to right‑size initiatives based on investee capacity and incentives.

Required profile

• Experience conducting technical assistance assessments and gap analyses in an agricultural context.
• Proven ability to work directly with youth and young women farmer groups.
• Strong analytical skills to synthesize data and inform strategic decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Willingness to travel onsite and work remotely as needed.
