Recovery Associate – Musanze & Kayonza/Gatsibo

About the role

Inkomoko is seeking two Recovery Associates to join its team in Rwanda. The associates will be based in Musanze and either Kayonza or Gatsibo, working to protect the loan portfolio by identifying and resolving defaulted loans.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the credit portfolio, flagging repayment irregularities and potential defaults.
• Prepare monthly portfolio reports and weekly turnover updates for management.
• Conduct site visits, call customers, and send reminders to ensure scheduled repayments.
• Perform post‑disbursement spot checks to verify loan utilization and performance.
• Maintain a trigger reporting system for credit impairments and propose corrective actions.
• Support loan officers, loan managers, and compliance officers on non‑performing loans.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in the field and coordinate with local authorities.
• Good communication skills for interacting with borrowers and internal teams.
