Recovery Associate – Musanze & Gisagara

About the role

Inkomoko is seeking two Recovery Associates to join its team in Musanze and Gisagara, Rwanda. The role focuses on monitoring loan portfolios, identifying repayment issues, and implementing recovery actions to protect the organization’s credit assets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor credit portfolios and assess risk of potential defaults.
• Identify and escalate repayment irregularities and recommend recovery solutions.
• Prepare monthly portfolio reports for management decision‑making.
• Analyze collection data to evaluate product performance.
• Provide weekly turnover reports on loan accounts.
• Maintain a trigger reporting system for credit impairments and propose corrective actions.
• Support loan officers, managers and compliance officers on non‑performing loans.
• Contact borrowers via calls and visits, send reminders, and conduct post‑disbursement spot checks.
• Monitor defaulter repayments to ensure compliance and maintain required PAR levels.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in the field and coordinate with local authorities.
• Good communication skills for interacting with borrowers and internal teams.
• Commitment to meeting reporting deadlines and maintaining data accuracy.
