Quality Assurance Engineer Consultant (Functional & Automation)

About the role

As part of a digital transformation agenda, the QA Engineer Consultant will ensure the quality, reliability and user experience of enterprise‑grade ERP modules, integrations and data‑driven platforms. The role combines manual functional testing with the development of automated regression pipelines to protect data integrity across Fineract CBS, ERP and integrated systems.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements, BRDs and user stories to create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, UAT and integration testing for ERP workflows, APIs and UI/UX across browsers and devices.
• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for API (REST) and UI regression suites.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and monitor test reliability.
• Report, track and prioritize defects using Jira and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Validate data integrity between Fineract CBS, ERP and integration layers.
• Support audit readiness with comprehensive test documentation and ensure security awareness in test design.
• Collaborate closely with developers, DevOps, product managers and QA peers.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented professional with strong technical aptitude for both manual and automated testing.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective test scenarios.
• Experience working in agile sprint cycles and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Proactive mindset to reduce defect leakage and improve production stability.

Required skills
