About the role

The Zipline Maps team builds high‑precision geospatial data pipelines that enable autonomous drones to navigate complex urban environments safely. As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer you will bridge backend services with user‑facing tools, delivering intuitive interfaces for map annotators, regulators, and internal stakeholders. Your work will directly shape how the world interacts with Zipline’s autonomous delivery system.

Key responsibilities

• Build and scale full‑stack systems powering global mapping and flight‑validation workflows.
• Develop intuitive web applications for map annotators and regulators to interact with complex geospatial data.
• Design robust APIs and data pipelines that integrate multiple geospatial sources while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Create reusable component libraries and design systems to maintain consistency across tools and dashboards.
• Improve system reliability, performance, and observability to support autonomous delivery at global scale.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining production web applications.
• 2+ years leading frontend projects, making architectural decisions, and mentoring engineers.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach across distributed teams.
• A customer‑obsessed mindset with a drive to continuously improve products based on real‑user feedback.
• Experience delivering high‑impact features in fast‑moving, mission‑critical environments.
