Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead and deliver a portfolio of strategic and operational projects at African Leadership University. You will independently manage multiple workstreams, ensure projects stay on scope, on time, and that risks are identified early.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end delivery of concurrent projects, including scoping, planning, milestones, dependencies, risks and closure.
• Maintain an accurate project portfolio status in Asana and flag high‑priority items for senior leadership each month.
• Run project governance processes: RAID logs, decision logs, action tracking and structured escalation when delivery stalls.
• Enforce intake discipline by ensuring all work enters the PMO through the formal request process.
• Chase down statuses, data points and overdue actions across all organisational levels, including directors and VPs.
• Report delivery performance honestly, even for projects led by senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Highly proactive and able to work independently without supervision.
• Comfortable interacting with senior leaders and challenging requests that bypass established processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to keep multiple workstreams moving without letting anything drop.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Asana or similar project‑management tools.
