Project Manager – INSPIRE WASH Project

About the role
WaterAid Rwanda is seeking a Project Manager to lead the INSPIRE project – Integrated WASH and Health Systems for Participation, Inclusion, Rights and Equity. Based in Kigali, you will coordinate a multi‑stakeholder effort to deliver sustainable water, sanitation and hygiene services while promoting gender equality and social inclusion.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute project plans, timelines and work packages.
- Manage the project budget, procure resources and ensure financial compliance.
- Oversee monitoring, evaluation and reporting to donors and partners.
- Build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, civil society and donors.
- Ensure quality assurance, risk management and safeguarding throughout implementation.
- Champion gender, equality and social inclusion principles in all activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in public health, environmental health, water engineering, sanitation or related field.
- Minimum 7 years (or 4 years with a Master’s) of relevant project management experience in WASH, public health or development contexts.
- Proven experience working with government bodies, INGOs and donor agencies.
- Strong understanding of gender, equity and inclusion frameworks.
