Procurement and Finance Officer

About the role

Harambee is seeking a Procurement and Finance Officer to support its mission of tackling youth unemployment across Africa. Based in Kigali and reporting to the Country Manager, you will ensure that financial transactions and procurement activities are accurate, efficient, and compliant with internal policies and donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Process and track supplier, programme, and operational payments.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support reconciliations.
• Coordinate procurement activities from request through delivery.
• Support supplier management, payment tracking, and procurement documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and donor requirements.
• Monitor budgets, expenditure, and upcoming payment commitments.
• Maintain audit‑ready records and support internal and external audits.
• Prepare procurement and payment reports and identify process‑improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with programme, finance, procurement, and operational teams across Rwanda and South Africa.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in finance, accounts payable, procurement, supplier management, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail, accountability, and a solutions‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of cross‑functional teams.
• Commitment to the mission of creating lasting social impact.
