Owner – Strategic Leadership Role

About the role

The Owner at DSP GIFT City will provide strategic leadership, set long‑term business objectives, and guide the overall vision and growth of the entity. This full‑time, on‑site position in Kigali oversees key business functions and drives sustainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute investment strategy, operations, risk management and stakeholder relationship frameworks.
• Monitor performance metrics and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Nurture partnerships with regulators, institutional clients and service providers.
• Identify new market opportunities and expand the firm’s presence in global and India‑focused investment segments.
• Lead senior teams, fostering a culture of integrity, accountability and long‑term value creation.
• Ensure processes and resources support sustainable, long‑term business outcomes.

Required profile

• Strong leadership experience in asset management, investment banking or financial services with a track record of strategic growth and operational excellence.
• Deep understanding of global markets, cross‑border investing and India‑focused investment strategies, preferably with exposure to IFSC or similar hubs.
• Proven experience in governance, risk management, regulatory compliance and stakeholder management within a regulated financial environment.
• Advanced analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging regulators, institutional investors and internal teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead high‑performing, diverse teams.
• Relevant advanced degree in finance, economics, business or related field; professional certifications such as CFA are an advantage.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Kigali and collaborate across geographies and time zones.
