MEP Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)

About the role

The MEP Engineer will be based on‑site in Gasabo District, working full‑time to design, coordinate and implement mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems for building projects. You will collaborate with architects, civil engineers and contractors to ensure integrated, code‑compliant building services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review MEP drawings, specifications and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with architects, civil engineers and contractors to resolve design clashes.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor installation quality and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Review contractors’ submittals and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Assist with project scheduling, cost estimation for MEP works and preparation of technical reports.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and building services design.
• Experience in MEP coordination, clash detection and integration with structural/architectural elements.
• Practical understanding of power distribution, lighting and low‑voltage systems.
• Hands‑on familiarity with water supply, drainage and sanitary installations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or similar BIM tools and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documents.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and safety awareness.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Previous construction or MEP contracting experience is an advantage; professional certifications are a plus.
