Master Data Management & Data Governance Intern

About the role

Africa Global Logistics Rwanda Limited, a transport and logistics company based in Kigali, Rwanda, is looking for a Master Data Management and Data Governance intern. Reporting to the Business MDM and Data Governance Manager, the intern supports the rollout, configuration, testing, training and support of the ONBOARD solution across the group's subsidiaries, working with local teams, key users and technical teams. The internship is full-time and takes place at the AGL Expertise Center in Kigali.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in the rollout of ONBOARD across the group's subsidiaries.
• Configure forms and workflows according to validated business requirements.
• Prepare and run functional tests and contribute to user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document and track issues until they are resolved.
• Assist operational teams during preparation and go-live phases.
• Help write and update user guides, procedures, operating instructions and training materials.
• Train and support key users in using the platform.
• Track improvement requests and functional enhancements.
• Check the quality, completeness and consistency of data entered in ONBOARD.
• Contribute to functional user support and request follow-up after rollout.
• Produce rollout and activity monitoring reports.

Required profile

• Graduate or final-year student in information systems, data analytics, digital project management or IT.
• Strong interest in digital transformation projects and data quality.
• Ability to understand business processes, forms and validation workflows.
• Rigor, organization, autonomy and analytical mindset.
• Good interpersonal skills, service orientation and ability to work in an international team.
• Professional English, written and spoken; French is a plus.
• First internship experience on a digital, data or information systems project is a plus.

Required skills

• Good command of Excel and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools.
• Keen interest in artificial intelligence and its use in data analysis.
