Kinyarwanda Bilingual Expert (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a native or near‑native Kinyarwanda speaker to support the development of next‑generation AI systems. Working remotely, you will provide linguistic insight that helps AI models understand real‑world language, without needing a technical background in AI.

Key responsibilities

• Listen to and accurately transcribe Kinyarwanda audio and video recordings, including precise timestamps.
• Capture emotional tone, mood, and speaker intent to enrich AI training datasets.
• Review and assess grammatical structures, sentence patterns, and syntax in Kinyarwanda and English content.
• Explain cultural relevance and usage of idiomatic or nuanced expressions.
• Support translation validation, data labeling, and linguistic review tasks.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism in all deliverables.
• Commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week and meet project milestones on schedule.

Required profile

• Native or near‑native fluency in Kinyarwanda with strong English proficiency.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, attentive to linguistic detail.
• Hands‑on experience with transcription, data annotation, or structured language work.
• Ability to identify and document tonal, grammatical, and contextual nuances.
• Self‑motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Reliable remote‑working setup with necessary tools and connectivity.
