Food & Beverage Support Host/Hostess

About the role

The Food & Beverage Support Expert (Host/Hostess) welcomes guests, manages seating, and ensures a clean and pleasant dining environment at our Kigali hotel. This full‑time, non‑management position is key to delivering the high service standards expected by Marriott International.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size and seat them at clean, prepared tables.
• Pull out chairs, place menus, napkins, silverware and ensure each setting meets company standards.
• Monitor dining room flow, arrange tables for groups with special needs and maintain safety.
• Check menus for cleanliness and accuracy, and keep work areas tidy using clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
• Follow all company, safety and security policies, report incidents and complete required training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, answer telephone calls with proper etiquette and support team goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior work or supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Commitment to cleanliness, guest service and adherence to safety standards.
