Financial Aid Manager

About the role
The Financial Aid Manager will lead ALU’s financial aid operations, ensuring that prospective and current students receive accurate, timely, and equitable support to fund their education. Reporting to the Vice‑President of Enrolment, the role works closely with Admissions, the Registrar and Finance to manage scholarships, grants, bursaries and loan programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Administer day‑to‑day operations of all financial aid programmes, including merit scholarships, need‑based grants, bursaries and government‑backed loan schemes.
- Develop, maintain and update financial aid policies and procedures to meet institutional, regulatory and government requirements.
- Oversee the packaging and awarding of financial aid to prospective and current students across all levels of study.
- Lead, supervise and develop the financial aid team, ensuring high standards of student service and operational efficiency.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students and families seeking guidance on financial aid options, eligibility and application processes.
Required profile
- Detail‑oriented, empathetic and compliance‑conscious professional.
- Experience managing financial aid or student finance programmes in a higher‑education setting.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with Admissions, Registrar and Finance departments.
