Finance Director - African Quality Assurance Centre Holding Company

About the role

The Finance Director leads the financial strategy, management and governance of the African Quality Assurance Centre Holding Company (AQAC HoldCo). The role ensures financial sustainability, compliance with international and local regulations and supports the CEO and Board in achieving long-term growth. It covers financial planning, reporting, risk management and operational efficiency across subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with corporate goals and lead capital allocation for new projects, expansions and acquisitions
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and financial modeling, and ensure financial reporting complies with IFRS/GAAP and local standards
• Monitor performance against budgets and present results and recommendations to stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with tax, audit and regulatory requirements, manage internal controls and oversee audits
• Optimize working capital, cash flow and cost structures, and implement ERP and other financial systems
• Build relationships with banks, investors and regulators, and support subsidiaries' CFOs
• Lead and mentor the finance team, ensure succession planning and promote continuous training

Required profile

• Proven experience as Finance Director, CFO or senior finance executive in a multinational or holding company
• Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
• Minimum of 12 years in a senior executive leadership role in accounting and finance
• Experience in laboratory, TIC (testing, inspection, certification), healthcare or industrial services preferred

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, tax regulations and compliance frameworks
• Demonstrated success in financial planning, risk management and capital allocation
• Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CA) highly desirable
