Field Officer – Internal Audit (Rwanda)

About the role

The Field Officer – Internal Audit will support GiveDirectly’s cash transfer programme by auditing enrolment activities and ensuring data quality in the field. You will work directly with recipients and field teams to identify risks, improve processes, and uphold the organisation’s high standards of integrity and impact.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with recipients to assess field processes and recommend improvements.
• Measure the quality of field‑officer data against established standards and report inconsistencies.
• Verify field team compliance with GiveDirectly policies and procedures.
• Identify and report key programme risks, including fraud or bribery.
• Document stakeholder assessments of the programme within local communities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with underserved or vulnerable communities, preferably in monitoring, evaluation, or audit roles.
• Fluent in Kinyarwanda with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
• Ability to operate in challenging field conditions and difficult terrain.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer applications.
• Experience using mobile data‑collection tools.
