Employee Relations Advisor – International Non‑Profit

About the role
WRI is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to support the implementation of its Safe, Equitable and Inclusive Workplace policy across its East African offices. The role reports to the Head of Employee Relations and will work flexibly to serve an international employee base.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct impartial investigations into employee complaints and allegations of wrongdoing.
- Prepare clear, written investigative reports and track cases from intake to final disposition.
- Support in‑country HR teams in conducting investigations and implementing follow‑up actions.
- Maintain accurate records in HR systems and ensure compliance with internal governance and legal requirements.
- Deliver employee training on policy implementation as needed.
- Foster positive employee relations and promote a respectful, inclusive workplace culture.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in employee relations or complaint investigations across multiple countries.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; international non‑profit experience preferred.
- Ability to interpret and apply country‑specific employment laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality and interpersonal sensitivity.
