Economic Empowerment Officer

About the role

The Economic Empowerment Officer will work under the Head of Economic Empowerment to drive income‑generation activities for Women for Women Rwanda’s participants, graduates, self‑help groups and cooperatives. This full‑time position focuses on building sustainable livelihoods through training, business development and market analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and expertise to enable economic self‑sufficiency for program beneficiaries.
• Design and deliver training on income‑generation and off‑farm job creation.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities and expand existing enterprises.
• Assess domestic and international markets to pinpoint traditional and non‑traditional skills for training.
• Collaborate with the Head of Economic Empowerment on sector‑wide opportunity mapping.

Required profile

• Experience in income‑generation projects, business development or livelihood programmes.
• Ability to work with NGOs, community groups and cooperatives.
• Strong analytical skills for market assessment.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities.
