Cluster Tax and Compliance Manager

About the role

The Cluster Tax and Compliance Manager supports and audits Marriott's control environment across the hotel property in Kigali. The role works closely with departmental leaders to ensure accounting standards, audit procedures, and compliance requirements are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement accounting projects and policies in line with audit standards.
• Conduct and verify audits for all property areas, ensuring timely completion.
• Provide training and guidance to department leaders on control environment goals.
• Generate accurate reports, presentations, and financial analyses.
• Maintain month‑end audit functions and verify profit and loss documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state fraud and collection laws.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting (4‑year program).
• Minimum 1 year experience in accounting, auditing, or a related professional area.
• Knowledge of Marriott SOPs, risk assessment tools, and quarterly audit requirements.
• Ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
