Systems Improvement Manager

About the role

The Systems Improvement Manager strengthens operational excellence at the university by designing, improving, and overseeing organizational processes, policies, and governance frameworks. This role partners with operational units to ensure processes are efficient, compliant, scalable, and aligned with the institution’s mission and strategic priorities.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead assessment, mapping, design, and continuous improvement of core administrative and operational processes.
  • Identify bottlenecks, redundancies, and risk areas and propose industry‑best‑practice solutions.
  • Proactively manage operational risks and develop mitigation strategies within process and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and audit requirements through comprehensive process records and reporting.
  • Conduct regular quality reviews to keep processes effective, sustainable, and compliant.
  • Develop KPIs and performance dashboards to measure process effectiveness and support data‑informed decision making.
  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and SOPs that promote transparency and consistency.
  • Support strategy translation into actionable process initiatives, project plans, and change‑management activities.
  • Collaborate with internal units to align processes, systems, and governance with long‑term institutional goals.
  • Drive change management for process improvements, including communication, training, and stakeholder readiness.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in process management, organizational governance, risk management, or operations strategy.
  • Proven track record of leading process redesign and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, accreditation, and audit requirements in higher education or non‑profit sectors.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
