Foundation Lead

About the role

The Foundation Lead supports the Foundation Manager in designing, delivering and continuously improving the Foundation and Leadership Core learning experience at African Leadership University. This role provides both academic and operational leadership across entrepreneurship, Responsible Enterprise and project‑related learning, ensuring a rigorous, learner‑centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and enhance assigned Foundation and Leadership Core courses, especially entrepreneurship and Responsible Enterprise.
• Review and refine curricula, learning outcomes, session guides, assessments and rubrics for academic coherence and relevance.
• Maintain Canvas course environments, ensuring materials are ready and up‑to‑date.
• Support and equip faculty to deliver consistent, high‑quality instruction.
• Provide timely academic support to students and oversee assessment moderation.
• Contribute to cross‑programme alignment and scalable experiential learning initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in academic leadership and curriculum stewardship.
• Ability to manage faculty and coordinate multi‑disciplinary learning programmes.
• Strong focus on learner‑centred design and continuous improvement.
• Commitment to the mission of developing ethical and entrepreneurial leaders.
