Technical Assistance Consultant for Smart Africa SPVs

About the role

Smart Africa is seeking an experienced consultant to provide technical assistance for converting flagship initiatives into bankable Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs). The role involves conducting feasibility studies, preparing bankability documentation, structuring investments, and supporting fundraising efforts to achieve financial close.

Key responsibilities

• Lead feasibility assessments for identified initiatives.
• Develop comprehensive bankability and investment case documents.
• Design investment structures that meet the needs of public and private investors.
• Coordinate resource mobilization and fundraising activities.
• Support the financial close process and oversee capital disbursement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transaction advisory and investment structuring.
• Strong understanding of SPV formation and commercialisation.
• Ability to work on a best‑efforts basis without being liable for third‑party investment decisions.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
