Assistant Investment Manager (bilingual)

About the role

The Assistant Investment Manager will support the investment team throughout the investment lifecycle for FEDA's fund strategies, focusing on private equity and greenfield projects in Africa. The role involves financial analysis, deal structuring, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in deal origination, evaluation, investment committee preparation, and portfolio management.
• Conduct comprehensive financial modeling, valuation, and risk assessment for potential investments.
• Support deal structuring by preparing term sheets, investment memos, and participating in negotiations.
• Coordinate due‑diligence activities, engage with advisors, and present findings to management.
• Monitor portfolio performance, develop ESG action plans, and prepare regular investment reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or related field; MBA/MSc is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in investment banking, private equity, or similar roles.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills in English and French.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
