Teaching Staff – Haematology and Blood Transfusion

About the role

The Institute of Higher Education in Ruhengeri seeks a qualified teaching staff member to join the Department of Biomedical Laboratory Sciences. The role focuses on delivering lectures and practical sessions in haematology and blood transfusion for health sciences students.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures and laboratory practicals in haematology and blood transfusion.
• Develop teaching materials, course outlines and assessment tools.
• Supervise students during laboratory sessions and assess their performance through exams and assignments.
• Guide student research projects and internships.
• Participate in research activities and ensure proper use and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences with a specialization in Blood Transfusion.
• Practical experience in haematology laboratory procedures.
• Good communication and teaching skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
