Teaching Staff – Clinical Microbiology

About the role

The Institut Supérieur de Ruhengeri is seeking a qualified teaching staff member to deliver lectures and practical sessions in Clinical Microbiology for its Biomedical Laboratory Sciences program. The role involves both classroom instruction and supervision of laboratory work, contributing to the academic and research activities of the department.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lectures and practical sessions in microbiology.
• Develop teaching materials, course outlines and assessment tools.
• Supervise students during laboratory practical sessions and assess their performance.
• Oversee student research projects, internships and ensure compliance with laboratory safety and biosafety procedures.
• Participate in departmental research and other academic activities.

Required profile

• PhD or Master’s degree in Biomedical Laboratory Sciences with a specialization in Clinical Microbiology.
• Teaching experience in higher education (advantageous).
• Practical experience in microbiology laboratory procedures.
• Good communication and teaching skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
