About the role

The Institut d'Enseignement Supérieur de Ruhengeri (INES‑Ruhengeri) invites applications for full‑time teaching positions in its Computer Science and Pharmacy departments. Successful candidates will join a vibrant academic community, contribute to cutting‑edge research, and support student learning and development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and supervise laboratory or fieldwork, ensuring alignment with current research and pedagogical advances.
• Develop and compile teaching materials, select textbooks, and support teaching assistants.
• Review and advise on student research proposals and theses.
• Design innovative course content and mobilize resources for research, outreach, and internships.
• Conduct collaborative research with students and staff, publishing findings in reputable journals.
• Provide guidance on publishing research outputs to enhance institutional visibility.
• Participate in community development initiatives and faculty governance.
• Maintain active engagement in professional networks and dissemination activities.

Required profile

• PhD (or Master’s for Computer Science) in a relevant discipline with recognized equivalence for foreign degrees.
• Minimum two years of academic experience, with a solid record of research publications.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and commitment to student success.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a diverse academic community.
• Availability for direct appointment as full‑time teaching staff.

Required skills

• Programming: Java, Python, C/C++.
• Database management: SQL, NoSQL (MariaDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Data analysis tools and software.
• Industrial IoT, embedded systems, real‑time monitoring, networking technologies.
• Server management on Linux and Windows, industrial cybersecurity.
• Analytical, organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry techniques.
• Laboratory instrumentation and modern scientific instruments.
• Pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, molecular biology, enzymology.
