Teacher Trainer – Inclusive Education

About the role

The Moyo Center seeks a passionate Teacher Trainer to design and deliver professional development for teachers, coach educators in partner schools, support demonstration classrooms, and help develop a sustainable teacher‑training model.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging training sessions, workshops, seminars and coaching for teachers and school staff.
• Support inclusive education practices such as differentiated instruction, classroom accommodations and strategies for learners with autism and other disabilities.
• Observe classrooms, provide constructive feedback, mentor teachers and follow up on implementation.
• Develop curricula, presentations, handouts and classroom resources, adapting international best practices to the Rwandan context.
• Assist in creating model inclusive classrooms and contribute to monitoring, evaluation and learning activities.
• Build strong relationships with teachers, school leaders, families and education stakeholders.

Required profile

• Rwandan nationality with a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, Inclusive Education or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in teaching, teacher training, special or inclusive education.
• Proven experience delivering training or professional development to teachers.
• Strong communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English and Kinyarwanda.

Required skills

• Knowledge of child‑centered and inclusive teaching practices.
• Ability to translate educational theory into practical classroom strategies.
• Experience coaching or mentoring teachers.
• Experience developing teacher‑training materials.
