Software Engineer – ERP Platform (Odoo)

About the role

Join One Acre Fund’s mission‑critical technology team to help build the most efficient rural distribution network on the African continent. You will work on the core Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform, Odoo, which powers field operations, farmer registration, order management, logistics, inventory tracking, and mobile payments across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test software components of moderate complexity, ensuring scalability and long‑term maintainability.
• Create and run both manual and automated tests, remediate any issues, and confirm successful deployments.
• Own software quality through code reviews, adherence to quality processes, and continuous improvement of work packages.
• Document work performed, troubleshoot production incidents, and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Visit field sites (Go to Gemba) to observe end‑users, build cultural fluency, and refine the product based on real‑world usage.

• Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel to field locations.
