Software Development & Data Engineering Apprenticeship – September Cohort

About the role

The AmaliTech Apprenticeship Programme, supported by DEG Impulse, offers a six‑month full‑time pathway for recent graduates and final‑year students to launch a career in software development or data engineering. Participants will work on real client projects, receive mentorship from senior engineers, and gain exposure to modern technologies in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with global client teams on Java backend, Python backend, JavaScript full‑stack, data engineering, QA, or DevOps projects.
• Write, test, and debug code following international standards.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
• Utilise AI‑driven tools and the latest development platforms.
• Document solutions and contribute to knowledge‑sharing sessions.

Required profile

• Based in Rwanda or willing to relocate.
• Final‑year university student or recent graduate in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• At least six months of practical programming experience through internships, projects, hackathons or online courses.
• Full‑time availability for the entire six‑month period.
• Strong English communication skills, problem‑solving ability and a growth‑oriented mindset.
