About the role

The AmaliTech Apprenticeship Programme, supported by DEG Impulse, offers a six‑month full‑time pathway for early‑career talent to launch a career in software development or data engineering. Participants work on real‑world projects for global clients, gaining hands‑on experience with modern technologies in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers on client projects across Java, Python, JavaScript, data engineering, QA and DevOps.
• Develop and maintain backend services, full‑stack applications, and data pipelines.
• Apply best practices and international coding standards to deliver production‑ready solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.
• Continuously learn and adopt AI‑driven tools and latest development frameworks.

Required profile

• Based in Rwanda or willing to relocate.
• Final‑year university student or recent graduate in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• At least six months of practical programming experience through internships, projects, hackathons or online courses.
• Full‑time availability for the entire six‑month period.
• Strong English communication skills, problem‑solving ability and a growth‑oriented mindset.
