About the role
The AmaliTech Apprenticeship Programme, supported by DEG Impulse, offers a six‑month full‑time pathway for final‑year students or recent graduates to launch a career in software development or data engineering. Participants will work on real projects for global clients, receive mentorship from senior engineers, and gain exposure to modern technologies in a multicultural environment.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior engineers on client‑facing software and data projects.
- Develop and maintain codebases using Java, Python, JavaScript and related frameworks.
- Assist in building data pipelines, AI‑enabled applications, and quality assurance processes.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
- Continuously learn and apply new tools, AI‑driven technologies, and best practices.
Required profile
- Based in Rwanda or willing to relocate.
- Final‑year university student or recent graduate in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
- At least six months of practical programming experience through internships, projects, hackathons or online courses.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) with strong problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
- Motivated to work full‑time for the entire six‑month period and pursue a long‑term tech career.
